TRANENT Juniors came up short in their bid to retain the East of Scotland Cup, losing 2-0 to Penicuik Athletic this afternoon (Saturday).
Second half goals from Craig Hume and Aaron Sumerville won the game - and the trophy - for Penicuik, managed by a man with East Lothian connections, Johnny Harvey.
Tranent captain Eck Christie took to social media to thank the supporters, many of who made the trip front Foresters Park.
The defender said: “Not the end to the season we wanted but thanks again for ur support.”
The Belters will now leave the junior set-up as they join the East of Scotland League next season.
