EAST Lothian's four junior football clubs will be split into three conferences when they move to the senior ranks and join the East of Scotland League next season.
At an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) of the East of Scotland League at Hibs' Easter Road ground yesterday (Thursday) evening, the structure of the new-look leagues was announced
Musselburgh Athletic, champions of the East Premier League this season, are in Conference A alongside Dunbar United.
Next season, the Burgh and the Seasiders will face Hawick Royal Albert, Leith Athletic, Peebles Rovers, Coldstream, Tweedmouth Rangers, Penicuik Athletic, Hill of Beath Hawthorn, Newtongrange Star, Arniston Rangers, Oakley United and Easthouses Lily MW.
Both Haddington Athletic and Tranent Juniors are in Conference B and they will play Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale, Tynecastle, Burntisland Shipyard, Eyemouth United, Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic, Dundonald Bluebell, Bo’ness United, Sauchie Juniors, Dalkeith Thistle, Crossgates Primrose and Dunipace.
The county's two existing senior sides, Preston Athletic and Ormiston, are in Conference C, joining Heriot-Watt University, Stirling University, Linlithgow Rose, Broxburn United, Camelon Juniors, Jeanfield Swifts, Blackburn United, St Andrew’s United, Edinburgh United, Craigroyston, Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts.
