IT WAS sevens heaven for Musselburgh RFC on Saturday as they claimed the title at the 59th staging of North Berwick 7s.

Burgh put in some impressive performances, beating invitational teams The Mighty Bovs and No Women No Try to set up a meeting with the hosts in the final.

North Berwick, meanwhile, saw off a British Army Vets side and Ross High on their way to the final.

In the end, the Musselburgh side proved too strong, with a number of 1st XV regulars guiding them to victory.

Brad Graham collected the trophy from Jela Stewart of the Nether Abbey Hotel.

Meanwhile, a number of local players helped The Mighty Bovs to victory in the plate.

The invitational side featured Haddington wing Kyle Adams, ex-Red Ewan Bowen, and Dylan Russell, who is from Haddington.

They beat Preston Lodge to the title.

Earlier in the day, Boroughmuir’s U18s claimed victory in the U18 Tens that precedes the annual 7-a-side tournament.

Organisers thanked everyone for making the day a success once more this year.
