THE youth side from East Lothian IBC celebrated a double title success at the weekend when they retained both the East of Scotland Junior League and the SYIBA Top Ten title.
On Saturday they played host to league title rivals Alloa and all 12 Garden County players produced a fine performance for a magnificent 7-0 win that was good enough to retain the title.
They will receive the league championship trophy from league officials this Saturday at Abbeyview IBC as they host the East of Scotland Top Six tournament.
Twenty-four-hours after their first success, all roads led to Glasgow IBC for the climax to the SYIBA Top Ten and East Lothian booked their place in the competition’s final with victory over Turriff in their semi-final clash.
The final pitched them against old adversaries Alloa and for the second time it was the Garden County who came out on top again thanks to triumphs in the singles, pairs and fours.
Peter Fallen, team convenor, said: “Well done to all the youngsters, it was brilliant performances on both days from every single player participating.”
