A PAIR of former North Berwick High School pupils could make their Scotland rugby debuts on Friday evening.

Liz Musgrove will make her Scotland Women bow as they open their Six Nations against Wales on Friday evening.

Musgrove, who lives near Drem, will start on the right wing as she wins her first 15s cap - the 21-year-old won two Scotland Women's 7s caps last summer.

She takes over from another former North Berwick High School pupil, Megan Gaffney, in a largely settled backline.

Up front, Jade Konkel is selected at prop with Sarah Bonar takes the number eight jersey vacated by Konkel's positional switch to the front-row.

Stirling County prop Megan Kennedy joins Musgrove as a starting debutant, while four of the bench could win their first caps if called upon: Siobhan McMillan, whose sister Louise is in the back-row; as well as Jodie Rettie, Siobhan Cattigan and Mags Lowish.

Musgrove's team-mates at the University of Edinburgh were delighted to see her picked (see tweet below).

Later on Friday evening, back-row Darge, who plays his club rugby for Melrose, could make his Scotland U20 debut.

He is named in the matchday squad despite not being named in an initial 28-man party for the Championship.

Stevie Scott, Scotland U20 head coach, said: "We know Wales are an experienced and physical outfit, but I’ve got no doubt that if we match their levels of desire, and show a real grit and determination, then we’ll be able to compete.”

While Darge is included in the matchday squad and is set to follow the likes of Callum Hunter-Hill, Lewis Carmichael and Ally Miller in representing the U20s, there's no place in the 23 for another ex-North Berwick High School pupil Finn Hobbis, from Gullane.
