POLICE are appealing for the public's help to trace a 41-year-old man reported missing in Prestonpans.
Alexander Stewart, known as Sandy, was last seen on Tuesday, January 2, on Inch View North.
Sandy has not spoken to his family since then and there are growing concerns for his welfare.
Sandy is described as white, 6ft 2ins tall, of stocky build, with short ginger/blonde hair, green eyes and a scar on the right side of his chin. He wears hearing aids.
Police said there was not a photograph of Sandy available at this time.
Sandy may be wearing black and white Adidas trainers, black jogging bottoms, a grey Nike t-shirt, a grey Adidas hoodie with black stripes, a black waterproof jacket and a grey woolly hat.
He may be carrying a black rucksack and often cycles on a black and silver bike.
A police spokersperson said: "If Sandy sees this appeal, we would urge him to get in touch with either his family or officers and let us know that he is alright."
Anyone who can help police establish that Sandy is safe and well is asked to contact Haddington Police Station via 101, quoting incident number 0806 of January 8.
