SANTA spent the night flying around the world delivering presents to the children... but it's only thanks to a janitor at a Prestonpans school that he had a high-quality sleigh!

Kenny McCrorie, the janitor at St Gabriel’s Primary School, spent four weeks putting together the new sleigh after getting a letter from Santa himself!

He told the Courier: “I got a letter from Santa asking for a new sleigh.

“I put it together over about four weeks, just trying to find an hour here and there.”

Kenny said he was “delighted” with the finished product, which is made from plywood sheets.

He said: “The kids are absolutely over the moon with it so that’s the main thing.”

It took pride of place as Santa himself paid a visit to the school in the run-up to Christmas.
