TWO bikes worth thousands of pounds and an electric golf trolley were stolen in separate incidents in North Berwick last month.

Two high-value bicycles were reported stolen from a shed at a home on Marine Parade shortly before 9pm on December 12.

The incidents formed part of the police report at last week’s meeting of North Berwick Community Council, where members were shocked to hear of the theft.

It was revealed that the estimated cost of the two bikes was in the region of £7,000.

Less than 72 hours later, on December 15, the golf trolley was stolen from the town’s Glen Golf Club.

A police spokeswoman confirmed inquiries into both incidents were ongoing and urged anyone with information to get in touch.

Contact police on 101 with information and quote incident number 3547 of December 12 for the bikes, or 2411 of December 15 for the golf trolley.
