SHOPS and businesses in Haddington are closed this morning after a power cut knocked out electricity.
Signs have been put up outside a number of businesses in Court Street, including the Post Office and Bank of Scotland.
Pedestrian crossings were also affected by the fault, which happened shortly after 8.30am.
Scottish Power Energy Networks said a team had been sent to the area after a supply interruption affected Court Street, Victoria Road, Haldane Avenue and surrounding areas.
They anticipate the power will be returned to all properties by 10.30am.
They said: "Our emergency repair team are making their way to the substation at Peppercraig to investigate and repair the fault.
"We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience."
