A FORTY-four-year-old woman has been charged with drug offences following the execution of a warrant in Dunbar.

Officers recovered heroin with a potential value of £75-260 at the address on the town’s Lammermuir Crescent.

The woman was detained at about 8am on Tuesday and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A 37-year-old was also detained for an outstanding warrant also relating to drug offences.

Police Sergeant Derek MacDonald, of Haddington Police Station, said: “Tackling the supply of controlled drugs is a key priority for Police Scotland and the disruption of all drug-related activity is of the utmost importance to us.

“The toll of illegal substances on our society is incalculable.

“We continue to work to hold those who supply drugs in our community to account and bring them to justice.”

Anyone with any information about drug dealing or any type of organised crime is urged to report it by calling 101 or contacting Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
