EAST Lothian coronavirus levels are officially the highest in Scotland.
Latest data from Public Health Scotland reveals that there were 419 new Covid-19 cases recorded in the county for the seven days to June 21.
This is an increase of 140 cases from the seven days to June 20 when 279 cases were recorded.
East Lothian’s seven-day positive rate per 100,000 population is 391.3. The test positivity rate is 8.8 per cent.
The Scottish local authority with the second highest seven-day positive rate per 100,000 people, for the seven days to June 21, is Dundee City at 381.1. Edinburgh is next highest at 336, followed by Midlothian (301). Glasgow's infection rate is close to half of East Lothian's, at 214 per 100,000 people.
Every single part of East Lothian has recorded more than four positive cases during this seven-day period. The place with the highest number of cases is Wallyford and Whitecraig with 41 cases in the seven days up to June 21.
Public Health Scotland splits East Lothian up into 22 'zones'; 13 have a seven-day positive rate per 100,000 population of more than 400.
The highest of those 13 is Musselburgh South with a seven-day positive rate per 100,000 people of 805.4 (it recorded 37 cases).
Musselburgh North has a seven-day positive rate of 616.6 (30 cases), Ormiston with 606.5 (18 cases), Musselburgh East with 563.8 (27 cases) and Pinkie Braes with 508.5 (12 cases). Eight others had a seven-day positive rate between 400 and 499.

Four parts of the county - Haddington Rural, North Berwick North, North Berwick South and Haddington South - have a seven-day positive rate per 100,000 people lower than 200.
