A PERSON has been charged with "numerous offences" following a police pursuit of a stolen motorbike in East Lothian.
Last Monday, October 21, Dalkeith Road Policing officers saw a motorbike breaking the speed limit in Whitecraig.
Officers established that the bike had been reported stolen, leading to a chase which concluded near Ormiston after many attempts to stop the driver.

The motorbike was subsequently recovered by police and returned to its owner, but at the time, police were still making enquiries to identify the driver.
Now, Police Scotland has confirmed that a person has been identified, traced and charged with "numerous" offences.
On Tuesday afternoon, Police Scotland East Lothian posted on social media: "Following extensive enquiries by officers on #DalkeithRP the driver of the stolen motorcycle that failed to stop for police on Monday, October 21, in the Whitecraig area of East Lothian has been identified, traced, charged with numerous offences and reported."
