A PRESTONPANS motorist has been handed an interim road ban after he was caught driving a vehicle having previously been disqualified.
Peter Satta, 33, was seen using the vehicle on various streets in Edinburgh, including Granton Road, Granton Access and Easter Drylaw Place, on October 21 last year.
Police stopped Satta and, during the officers’ investigations, it was discovered that he was driving despite still serving a previously imposed driving ban.
Satta, of Preston Crescent, appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last week, where he pleaded guilty to the offence.
He also had a not guilty plea accepted by the Crown to driving with no valid insurance.
Sheriff Morris imposed an interim driving ban and deferred full sentence to October 25.
