A HADDINGTON man has been banned from approaching or contacting his former partner after he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner towards her.
Stewart Hill repeatedly shouted and swore at the woman at an address in Dunbar earlier this year.
Hill, of Briery Bank, also made offensive remarks and threats of violence towards the woman on July 4.
The 45-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence during an appearance at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Monday.
He also had a not guilty plea accepted by the Crown to assaulting his former partner by pushing her on the body during the same incident.
Sheriff Francis Gill sentenced Hill to pay a fine of £470 and issued him with a 12 month non-harassment order meaning he cannot have any contact with the woman apart from arranging childcare.
