A MUSSELBURGH man has been jailed after he admitted assaulting a woman.
Ben Vanhagen, 23, dragged his victim by the body from a property on Shrub Mount in Edinburgh.
He then grabbed the woman's hair and repeatedly punched her on the head and body to her injury on July 5.
Vanhagen, of Delta Road, pleaded guilty to the assault at a hearing at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last month and was sentenced last week.
Sheriff John Cook imposed a custodial sentence of 80 days to mark the offence.
