SPEED checks will be carried out outside schools in Haddington.
Concerns about the speed of motorists, particularly during the pick-up and drop-off times, have been regularly highlighted to police.
Constable Kiera Edmond noted the concerns during a report to Haddington and District Community Council.
She said: “I have also been in contact with Nicola Marr, who is the roads services supervisor for the council.
“Before the summer break, there were discussions over the concern of speeding motorists in the town centre during the morning rush hour, especially close to the school crossing junctions.
“Myself and my school link colleague PC Juchniewicz have been doing patrols and speed checks around these areas and will continue to do so as and when we can.”
