CONGREGATIONS will come together for a special service in Haddington next month.
St Mary’s Parish Church and Haddington West Church will unite for a special Harvest Thanksgiving service on October 6.
A spokesperson for St Mary's encouraged people to head along to the church on Sidegate at 11am.
They said: “This will be the first time that we have held a joint morning service and we are looking forward to worshipping together at harvest.
“During the service, we will hear about the West Church twinning with the Church of North India congregation in Siliguri.
“This was set up as part of the former Presbytery of Lothian’s twinning programme with the Diocese of the Eastern Himalayas.
“Following the service, we will enjoy a harvest soup and crumble lunch together.”
