A HADDINGTON man has been ordered to be of good behaviour after admitting to breaching a court bail order on two occasions.
David Rose, of Florabank Road, was granted bail at Edinburgh Sheriff Court in June last year and told he must not contact a woman or enter the town’s Kennedy Court.
But the 50-year-old broke the strict regulations when he entered the street and contacted the woman on March 26.
He then ignored the bail conditions a second time when he repeatedly contacted the same woman on several occasions between July 30 and August 14.
Rose was in the dock at the city centre court last week for sentencing after he had previously pleaded guilty to the breaches.
Sheriff Charles Gill was told that the woman was “very concerned about his behaviour” and that he was now staying away from her, despite not complying previously.
Sheriff Gill agreed to defer sentence on the two bail breach matters for six months for Rose to prove he could stay out of trouble.
Sentence was deferred to February 25 next year.
