A SINGER-SONGWRITER is aiming to help his former football club become smash hits.
Callum Beattie, famous for songs such as Salamander Street and Don’t Walk Alone, has sponsored the Musselburgh Windsor Whites 2008 boys’ team.
The Musselburgh star visited the team at Pinkie last Thursday and the team’s home shirts will have his name on them following a generous donation.
Beattie, whose albums People Like Us and Vandals have reached the top of the Scottish charts, played for Musselburgh Windsor when he was younger.
