A NEW takeaway restaurant could be looking for ‘a slice’ of the action in the centre of Musselburgh.
Proposals are with East Lothian Council’s planning department to transform the premises at 158 High Street.
An application from the Glenshire Group, which is based in Kirkcaldy, is looking at the conversion of an existing retail store into a hot food takeaway.
Although no details are given for the type of takeaway, one of the documents gives a project title of ‘Pizza Hut Shop Alterations’.
Currently, the nearest Pizza Hut branch is at Fort Kinnaird.
The international chain has been approached for a comment.
A decision on the application is expected by the end of October.
