MORE than 250 children have finished school early after a burst water main in the area.

Preston Tower Primary School’s West Loan campus was forced to close this morning (Friday).

A spokesperson for East Lothian Council confirmed that families had been contacted about the issue.

They said: “Preston Tower Primary School’s West Loan campus has closed this morning due to a burst water main in the area which has meant that the school’s water supply had to be switched off.

“All families have been contacted to collect their children if possible.

“Any children who are unable to be collected will be taken to the Preston Road campus.”

The West Loan campus caters for youngsters from nursery through to primary three.
