A NORTH Berwick man has been told to be of good behaviour after he admitted acting in a racial manner towards a police officer.
Andrew Brogan, 33, behaved in a threatening or abusive manner and uttered a threat of violence during an incident on Princes Street in Edinburgh.
Brogan also acted in a manner that was deemed racially aggravated and caused PC Mark Rowlinson alarm or distress during the same episode on June 15.
Brogan, of Brodie Road, was placed on a structured deferred sentence by Sheriff Primrose during a hearing at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Monday.
He was told to be of good behaviour before being returning to court to be sentenced in February next year.
