NEW signs welcoming visitors to a school dating back more than 100 years could be installed.
Belhaven Hill School has been welcoming pupils, including artist Hugh Buchanan and journalist Magnus Linklater, since 1923.
Now, new signs could be put up at the entrance to the school, off Dunbar’s Belhaven Road.
A design statement notes that the signs “are completely reversible with no damage to the walls”.
It reads: “They would be installed with fixings using rubber washers to provide an additional layer of protection.
“The fixings would be attached into the mortar, which could be re-filled should the signs ever have to be removed.”
