A NORTH Berwick entrepreneur has come up with a blooming great way to combat carbon footprint. . . a ‘pick-your-own’ flower farm.
Fay Gourlay’s business, The North Berwick Flower Co, which opened on July 12, grows and sells seasonal British blooms from its new base next to the fairy trail at Archerfield Walled Garden, near Dirleton.
Flowers are available to pick or order as a bouquet, and Fay also offers workshops for all the family.
Visitors are invited to wander through the flower beds to ‘pick your own’ – these can be arranged by the team before taking them home or, throughout the summer, popped into a jam jar decorated at one of the flower farm’s workshops.
