THOUSANDS of people have enjoyed all Dunbar Harbour has to offer at a hugely successful event.
Dunbar Harbour Trust held its annual Sparkling Dunbar festival on Saturday, offering the chance to try various sports and enjoy live music.
Yvonne Wemyss, who has been at the heart of organising the event, estimated that between 3,500 and 4,000 people attended the harbour on the day.
She said: “It was fantastic.
“It was really good, really, really good, and probably our biggest and best yet in terms of who was there participating, contributing and numbers attending as well.”
And while she thought that the good weather helped attract people to the town, she felt that the variety of entertainment on offer had also proven a factor.
A number of craft stalls were open, while there were plenty of refreshments too.
The more adventurous visitor had the chance to enjoy coastal rowing taster sessions, as well as stand-up paddleboarding and, back on dry land, archery.
Finally, live music was provided by bands including Cardiac Arrest, Auld Hat, Nama Kuma and Just Jovi.
Rounding off the event, The Armstrong Ceilidh Band provided more entertainment.
Yvonne added: “A lot of it was promotion and marketing to get it out there and people had seen it.
“We had visitors from all over – Fife, China, Australia and France.”
