LIDL has unveiled a wish list of locations for potential stores in Scotland as it announced plans to open hundreds of new stores across the UK.

The full list states that Lidl has 67 desired locations in which it hopes to open a store in Scotland, including in Dalmarnock, Alexandria, Livingston, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Dundee.

The update comes following a year of significant investment in Lidl’s infrastructure in a bid to strengthen its operations.

In its latest announcement, Lidl has the following locations as areas it hopes it might be able to open a store in Scotland.

The locations listed here are all areas of interest to Lidl which are desirable for new stores rather than confirmed plans or openings. 

The supermarket said a small number will eventually be developed and opened as stores.
