A bid has been launched to build a home in the front garden of an existing property in Prestonpans.
The proposal has been put submitted to East Lothian Council by applicant James Ewen.
He wants to build a three-bedroom home in the garden grounds of 105 Preston Avenue, between that house and 8 Middleshot Square.
If approved, it would have three levels: a ground floor, first floor, plus an attic floor.
A two-metre-high fence would separate the property from neighbours.
The proposal was discussed at Prestonpans Community Council's meeting last week in which one member claimed it was "totally out of character" and could significantly change the landscape and streetscape.
A determination deadline has been set for October 23.
