A Prestonpans resident has been ordered to wear an electronic tagging device after he breached a court order.
Darren White was the subject of a non-harassment order imposed for a previous offence relating to a woman and, as a result, he was told he could not approach or contact her in any way.
White, now of the town’s North Crescent, was placed on the order at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on May 26. He breached the court order by contacting the woman at an address at Northfield in Tranent on June 9.
White was in the dock at the Capital court last Tuesday, where Sheriff Ian Anderson sentenced him to a 40-day restriction of liberty order, meaning that he will be tagged and will have to stay within his home between 7pm and 7am.
