ONE hundred years of the 1st Dunbar Guides have been celebrated with a weekend camp and afternoon tea.
The group is enjoying centenary celebrations, and Guides, Rangers and their volunteer leaders spent a weekend at Allison Cargill House, in Whittingehame.
A spokesperson for the group said: “We had two nights camping with a Harry Potter theme; making wands, potions, planting herbs and reading tea leaves. We began at Foxlake, with a hugely enjoyable session on the new Aqua Park.
“We invited past leaders and other East Lothian supporters for the afternoon tea, which our Trefoil Guild group had organised.
“There was a display of memorabilia and several girls dressed up in old-style uniforms. A game helped the generations mingle and there was good chat over tea and cake, with a special 100th badge for all.
“Later, there was a BBQ with entertaining campfire sketches and a birthday cake.”
