Irish comedy legend Dara O Briain is the latest headline act to join this year's Fringe by the Sea festival as the final line-up was announced.

He joins fellow countryman Dylan Moran along with chart-toppers Travis and Sister Sledge in what will prove to be a jam-packed event in North Berwick this August.

O Briain, an award winning comic and much-loved host of Mock the Week, will take to the stage on Thursday, August 10.

Also joining him is Scottish crime writer Denise Mina, Megan McCubbin for BBC's countryfile and North Berwick's own Maggie O'Farrell.

Andy Cato, who was previously announced as part of Groove Armada, will also take on a secondary slot talking about his passion for regenerative farming before his DJ set.

The festival, which takes place in the Lodge Grounds in North Berwick, kicks-off on August 4 and runs until August 13.

Tickets for all the events are now available on the festival's website.

Rory Steel, Fringe By The Sea director, said: “Putting together this festival is a year round process – it couldn’t be done without the amazing staff, wonderful volunteers and our generous sponsors.

"No matter what your interest or age, there will be something in this programme for you.

"We look forward to seeing East Lothian residents as well as audiences from further afield from August 4”.

Coulters will also be returning as sponsors of the hugely successful Makers Market, supporting local artisans and craft businesses at the festival.

Sophie Duns, area director at Coulters said: "After last year's wonderful event, we’re delighted to be sponsoring the Makers Market once again. Over the coming months, we’ll be sharing our exciting plans and showcasing the lovely local artists and artisans who will be this year’s residents. From paintings and pottery to jewellery and homeware, there’s a special something for everyone."
