THE A1 is now open again following a collision earlier this morning (Sunday).
The westbound section of the road between the Bankton and Dolphinstone junctions was closed at about 10.40am today (Sunday) and emergency services were called out.
Now Traffic Scotland has confirmed the road has been reopened.

The Northbound carriageway is now open and traffic coping well in the area@SETrunkRoads
Earlier today, a spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "The A1 (northbound) at Tranent, East Lothian, is currently closed following a road traffic collision.
"It is likely that the road will be closed for some time.
"Northbound traffic is extremely heavy on approach.

"Please avoid the area if possible."
It is unknown is anyone was injured in the collision but Police Scotland have been contacted.
