A takeaway on Tranent High Street was broken into overnight.
CCTV footage of an individual appearing to break into Chinese takeaway Gourmet Place in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday) was shared in a Tranent community Facebook group.
It is unclear whether anything was stolen from the property and police enquiries "are at an early stage".
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of damage to a premises on High Street, Tranent, around 11.05am on Tuesday, 23 May, 2023.
“The damage is believed to have occurred overnight.
“Enquiries are at an early stage.”
