THE family of a Tranent girl who has been missing for more than 36 hours are "growing increasingly concerned for her wellbeing".
Niaomi Doran, 14, was last seen on Dunbar High Street at about 8.45pm on Monday and police are appealing for information in a bid to find her.
She is described as about 5ft tall, medium build, long brown hair with temporary pink dye through it, squint eyes, wearing black trainers, black leggings, a pink t-shirt and a black jacket with a fur hood.
Sarah Benn, Niaomi’s aunt, said that the family had been searching for her since she was reported missing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police are trying to determine the whereabouts of Niaomi Doran.
“She is known to frequent the Edinburgh and the East Lothian area. She may travel on various buses within these areas.
“Her family are growing increasingly concerned for her wellbeing.
“Anyone with information is requested to call 101, quoting incident number 4396 of May 8, 2023.”
