A POPULAR Nepalese restaurant is celebrating after scooping a top award at a national ceremony.
The 15th Scottish Curry Awards took place in Glasgow on Tuesday evening.
More than 400 guests attended the ceremony, which recognised and celebrated the talents and hard work of individuals and businesses within the Scottish curry industry.
Among those celebrating was Ghanda Bhandari, of Musselburgh’s Gurkha Bar and Restaurant, who was named manager of the year.
A spokesperson for the awards described the event as “an unforgettable night, filled with incredible food, vibrant energy and passionate conversations”.
They said: “We have celebrated the finest in the Scottish curry scene, recognising the creativity, innovation, and exceptional service that have become synonymous with this beloved cuisine.
“The curry industry is a vital part of our culture, and these awards recognised the exceptional talents of the individuals and businesses that make it so special.”
