A FORD Transit van was stopped on the City of Edinburgh Bypass and found to have brakes covered in oil.
Dunbar’s road policing officers were carrying out roadside checks on the busy road yesterday (Tuesday).
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “A hub oil seal had failed and oil covered the brakes.
“A prohibition (PG9) was issued due to it having a serious impact on brake efficiency.
“PG9 removal will require a repair & full MOT to be undertaken.”
