A key road into East Linton has reopened after a burst pipe forced Scottish Water to close it yesterday (Wednesday).
Residents were forced to access the town from the north late yesterday afternoon after a burst pipe on Bridge Street near The Crown and Kitchen forced Scottish Water to close the road.
Engineers worked quickly to repair the damaged pipe and the road reopened at about 8pm last night with the road set to be fully reinstated this afternoon.
A Scottish Water spokesperson said: “Scottish Water engineers repaired a burst pipe near The Crown and Kitchen, on Bridge Street, East Linton last night.
“The road was closed late yesterday afternoon and was reopened at 8pm yesterday. The road will be reinstated this afternoon.
“We would like to thank local residents for their patience while we carried out this essential repair work.”
