Tranent’s public toilets have been severely vandalised resulting in them being closed temporarily.
The toilets were allegedly vandalised over the weekend and again yesterday (Wednesday).
Vandalism included setting fire to bins, deliberate blocking of drains and damage to doors.
Unfortunately as a result of recent vandalism the #Tranent public toilets will remain closed until repairs are carried out and stock replaced. The toilets have been subject to deliberate blocking of drains, damage to doors and fires set in bins. pic.twitter.com/8Ki6RRktp2
