A PRESTONPANS resident has been found guilty of breaking into a Midlothian haulage business and stealing cash.
David Armstrong broke into the Freight Express premises in Penicuik and stole the quantity of money in February 2020.
Armstrong, of Gardner Road, denied the allegation against him and stood trial over two days at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.
Following the evidence, the 39-year-old was found guilty of the offence by Sheriff Matthew Auchincloss last Thursday.
Armstrong had his sentence deferred to next month for the preparation of social work reports.
Armstrong was found guilty of stealing cash from the Freight Express haulage premises at Pomathorn Road in Penicuik on February 15, 2020.
