A PORT Seton man will pay compensation to a car owner after he smashed one of the vehicle’s windows.
Callum Mack admitted wilfully or recklessly damaging property belonging to Hugh Grant when he caused the damage to the vehicle at Tantallon Terrace in North Berwick.
Mack, of Golf Drive, also pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner during an incident at the town’s Glen Golf Club on August 20 last year.
The 25-year-old shouted, swore, acted in an aggressive manner and uttered threats of violence during the disturbance.
He appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court for sentencing last Friday after he had previously pleaded guilty to the two charges.
Sheriff Peter McCormack ordered Mack to pay Mr Grant £500 in compensation to cover the cost of the damage to the vehicle.
Mack was also fined a total of £320.
Mack admitted to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at Glen Golf Club, and to damaging the vehicle at Tantallon Terrace on August 20 last year.
