Police have revealed their priorities for the Preston Seton Gosford ward after the most recent community and police partnership (CAPP) meeting.

Officers revealed that the use of e-scooters in the area was being looked into after concerns had been raised by members of the public.

E-scooters have become popular with younger people in recent times as a mode of transport, but many have been driving them illegally on public roads.

Anti-social behaviour on Lothian Buses passing through the area was also being looked into.

Prestonpans Community Council had previously discussed ongoing issues affecting the number 26 service passing through the town.

At the CAPP meeting, issues with children using the buses as a “hang-out” spot courtesy of their free bus passes was highlighted, with discussions questioning whether the passes could be taken off those who were causing trouble.

Speeding was also raised, with a particular focus on Dean Road and Links Road between Long Craigs and Seton Sands.
