A yellow weather warning for snow has been put in place by the Met Office across most of the county for Thursday and Friday.

Yesterday, a yellow warning for snow and ice was extended into Wednesday morning across the whole of the county.

Now, a new warning for snow is in place for Thursday and Friday affecting most of East Lothian.

The far east of the county, including Dunbar, is not impacted by this warning.

The warning is in place from 3am on Thursday until 6pm on Friday.

The warning on the Met Office website reads: "Snow could develop quite widely across the warning area on Thursday and Friday as a potentially quite deep area of low pressure moves across the UK."

Those using the roads should be cautious to avoid hazards associated with snow and should plan ahead.
