A DUATHLON being held in East Lothian on Sunday could cause disruption to drivers, with a lower speed limit being introduced on the A198 between Longniddry and Aberlady.
East Lothian is set to welcome a host of runners and cyclists for the Edinburgh Duathlon.
As a result of the cycling part of the event, a 30mph speed limit will be in place along a section of the A198 north of its junction with Wemyss Terrace in Longniddry to its junction with The Pleasance in Aberlady, a distance of about 4.2km, on Sunday from 8am to noon.
Organised by Tough Runner, the event includes a 5km run followed by a 25km cycle and another 5km run.
It starts at 8am outside Gosford House, where the run will take place within the estate and through the north and south woods.
Once the run is complete, competitors will get on their bikes to cycle around parts of the county, including along the outskirts of Longniddry and through Drem, Dirleton, Gullane and Aberlady.
The cycle route for the event
The second run again takes place at the estate.
Registration begins at 6.30am, with a mandatory race brief 10 minutes before the 8am start.
