Spectacular images of the Northern Lights were captured around East Lothian on Sunday evening.
The Aurora Borealis is formed by electrically charged particles from the Sun entering the Earth’s atmosphere at high speed.
Many residents captured images of the lights on Sunday evening over Musselburgh, Cockenzie and Tranent.
The Met Office has predicted that the lights may again be visible tonight.
