GENEROUS supporters have backed a charity looking to help people in their battle against cancer.
Football fans turned up at Olivebank last weekend to watch Musselburgh Athletic take on Vale of Leithen.
The high-flying Honest Toun side turned in a stunning performance to win 10-2 against their rivals.
At the same time, a matchday collection was held for Young Lives vs Cancer.
The charity, previously known as CLIC Sargent, helps children and young people, up to the age of 25, and their families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them.
The funds were added to other donations and money from The Staggs Bar collection cans and totalled £3,065.30.
A spokesperson for the club said: “Thank you again to everyone for their generosity!”
