A Musselburgh resident who assaulted a man in an Edinburgh fast-food restaurant has been ordered to carry out unpaid work.
Dimitar Bakalov, 36, struck Miroslav Nikolov to the head to his severe injury at KFC, at Straiton, on October 22 last year.
Bakalov admitted the assault charge when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last November and was sentenced last Friday.
Sheriff Robert Fife ordered Bakalov, of Fishers Wynd, to complete 180 hours of unpaid work in the community as punishment.
