TWO lucky customers were the winners of five bottles of the much-sought-after energy drink Prime given out by a Musselburgh shop.

Pinkie Farm Convenience Store on Moray Way ran a free-to-enter competition on its Facebook page which was met with a mass of entries.

All people had to do to enter was to like the Pinkie Farm page on Facebook and tag a friend in the comments.

The winners, Siobhan Brett and Alana Nunn, were drawn at random.

Dan Brown, 31, managing director, said: “I think it is the biggest post we’ve made on our page, with about 650 people entering. It was crazy but it was nice to give out the prizes to the winners.

“I don’t think either of them could quite believe it, they were delighted.”

Prime, which was created by popular YouTubers Logan Paul and KSI and comes in five flavours, has been selling out quickly in supermarkets across the UK.

The store ran the competition after selling out of nearly 1,000 bottles of the energy drink in 35 minutes earlier this month, followed by another 360 bottles in 20 minutes a few days later.

Pinkie Farm is one of the few stores in the county being supplied with the drink from its suppliers SPAR.

Dan said: “I don’t quite get the hype for it myself, but it’s our job to give the customers what they want and right now it is in demand.

“We’re hoping to run another competition soon when we get more stock in, so keep an eye out on our Facebook page for details.”
