SCHOOL pupils’ commitment and sporting successes have been recognised.

Knox Academy celebrated the achievements of 10 pupils, who range from S1 to S5 and were recognised with special ties and certificates.

Isaac Swan-Ashe, Katie Mead, Jamie Towler and Tara Murray all received endeavour certificates to recognise their achievements.

S1 pupil Isaac received the accolade for dedication and commitment to his local judo club in Haddington, while Katie, S5, was recognised for her dedication to the school netball club and the support shown in helping to coach the younger pupils.

Meanwhile, Jamie and Tara, both S3, were recognised for their commitment to Haddington Pipe Band.

Half-colour ties were given to S1 pupil Boyd Fearnside for his commitment and progression in East Lothian Swim Team, and Alex Black for his success on the football pitch. The S4 pupil has been selected to play for the 2007 Scottish Youth Football Association Development Team.

Morven Kenny, Phoebe and Isla Hamilton, and Finley Taylor received full-colour ties.

S1 pupil Morven was recognised for her efforts in triathlon and athletics, while Finley, S4, was recognised for his commitment to the school’s basketball team and success in the Scottish national league. Phoebe (S4) and Isla (S5) have enjoyed great success on squash courts across the country.
