A REDUNDANT bus shelter will be removed from Haddington High Street – three months after new versions were put in place.
Yellow and black bus shelters were put on High Street and neighbouring Market Street in October.
At that time, members of the town’s community council questioned when the old version would be removed.
A spokesperson for East Lothian Council confirmed that power serving the older bus shelter would be “cut” this week and the bus shelter “removed shortly afterwards”.
When the new shelters were put in place, the spokesperson said an additional bus shelter was needed due to the number of people travelling by bus and the increased number of services.
