A FORMER bookmakers could be turned into a restaurant and takeaway under new plans.
Ladbrokes closed on Prestonpans’ Hawthorn Road with the vacant unit now being earmarked for development.
Drawings included with the new planning application from Mr Murad show six tables for four diners, as well as space for customers to collect their takeaway.
A kitchen would be created to the rear of the premises.
There is no indication what type of cuisine would be served from the business.
A decision is expected from East Lothian Council by early May.
