A COCKENZIE teenager has been fined after he admitted assaulting a woman by biting her on the thumb.

Ross Horsburgh grabbed the woman by the hair and banged her head on a wall at an address in Edinburgh.

The 19-year-old, of Whin Park, also bit the woman on her left thumb and behaved in a threatening or abusive manner.

Horsburgh admitted the offence last Wednesday and was fined £210.

Horsburgh pleaded guilty to assaulting the woman and to behaving in a threatening manner at a property at Claremont, Edinburgh, on May 23.
